Dr. Klaus-Michael Weltring is deputy coordinator and leader of the work package “Ethics” in the Nano2Life Network of Excellence. He is currently the Managing Director of the regional network agency *"Gesellschaft für Bioanalytik Münster"* (bioanalytik-muenster). After his PhD Degree in Biology at the University of Münster in 1983 he spent 2,5 years as postdoc at Cornell University, USA, followed by a junior group leader position at the university of Münster. In 1998 he finished his Habilitation. In 2000 he got a one year substitution Professorship position at the University of Münster followed by the Coordinator position of the Münster proposal for the region contest “BioProfile” of the Minister for Education and Science of Germany. Since three years he is responsible for the function and marketing of the regional bioanalytics network including universities, regional development agencies, the Chamber of Commerce, companies and scientists.
